I have looked for thee in holiness, that I might behold thy power and glory.

For thy loving-kindness is better than life itself;-my lips shall praise thee.

As long as I live will I magnify thee on this manner, and lift up my hands in thy name.

My soul shall be satisfied, when my mouth praiseth thee with joyful lips.

Have I not remembered thee in my bed, and thought upon thee when I was waking?

My soul hangeth upon thee; thy right hand hath upholden me.

Because thou hast been my helper, therefore under the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Psalm lxvi.

O be joyful in God all ye lands; sing praises unto the honour of his name; make his praise to be glorious.

Come hither, and behold the works of

God; how wonderful he is in his doings toward the children of men.

O praise our God, ye people! and make the voice of his praise to be heard. Who holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to slip.

For thou, O God! hast proved us; thou also hast tried us, like as silver is tried.

Thou laidest trouble upon us; but thou broughtest us out of our distress.

Therefore will I go into thine house with thanksgiving; and will pay thee my vows which I promised with my lips, and spake with my mouth, when I was in trouble.

O come hither and hearken, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what he hath done for my soul!

I called unto him with my mouth, and gave him praises with my tongue.

IfI incline unto wickedness with mine heart, the Lord will not hear me.

But God hath heard me, and considered the voice of my prayer.

Therefore shall my song be alway of the loving-kindness of the Lord; with my mouth will I ever be shewing forth his truth.

Praised be God, who hath not cast out my prayer, nor turned his mercy from me.

Psalm xci.

Whoso dwelleth under the defence of the most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say unto the Lord, thou art my hope and my strong hold; my God, in him will I trust.

For he shall deliver thee from the noisome pestilence, which is as the snare of the hunter.

Thou shalt not be afraid for any terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day.

For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the sickness that destroyeth in the noon-day.

A thousand shall fall beside thee, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

For thou, O Lord! art my hope ;-I will call upon thee, and thou shalt hear me; yea, thou art with me in trouble; thou wilt deliver me, and shew me thy thy salvation.

Psalm xcii.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most high:

To shew forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

When the wicked spring as the grass,

and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

But thou, Lord, art most high for ever

more.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Psalm xcv.

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
