BE it remembered, that on the twenty fifth day of Febru ary, in the thirty third year of the Independence of the United States of America, Samuel Mills of Burlington in (L. S.) faid District, hath deposited in this Office, the title of a Book, the right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit:

"The Natural and Civil History of Vermont. By Samuel Williams, LL. D. Member of the Meteorological Society in Germany, of the "Philosophical Society in Philadelphia, and of the academy of arts and Sciences in Massachusetts. In two Volumes. Volume 1. The second edition, corrected and much enlarged."

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, entitled" an act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned,"
