= before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation, and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD. 2 Chron. xxx, 9. For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD; and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor conderun him when he is judged.

Ps. cxii, 4. Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness, he is gracious and full of compassion, and righteous.

Prov. i, 33. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of

evil.

Prov. xll, 28. In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Eccles, vill, 5. Whoso keepeth

1 Sam. xli, 14, 15. If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye, and also the king that reigneth over you, continue following the LORD your God: But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.

2 Chron. xv, 7. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak; for your work shall be rewarded.

Job xxii, 21. Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Ps. v, 12. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a

Ps. xviii, 24. Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

Ps. Ixv, 4. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Ps. lxxxiv, 11. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Ps. xcvii, 11. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
