CREATION OF MAN. Gen. i, 26, 27. So God created man in his own image: in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

PROVIDENCE.

GOD IS PRESERVER. Gen. xlviii, 15. And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which

are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth.

Ps. cxxi, 3-8. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shade npon thy right hand. day, nor the moon by night. The The sun shall not smite thee by LORD shall preserve thee from all evil; he shall preserve thy soul. Job viii, 2. How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

Exod. xiv, 21. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

FOUR WINDS MEAN FOUR QUARTERS OF HEAVEN. Ezek. xxxvii, 9. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to GOD, Come from the four winds, O the wind, Thus saith the Lord breath, and breathe upon these slain that they may live.

Jer. xlix, 36. And upon Elam Will I bring the four winds from will scatter them toward all those the four quarters of heaven, and winds.

Dan. vii, 2. Daniel spake, and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

Jer. li, 16..... He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends

of the earth.

Matth. xvii, 5. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye

Acts 1, 9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their siglit.

Eccles. xi, 4. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
