GUIDANCE.

What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall He teach in the way that he shall choose.-PSALM Xxv. 12.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.-PROV. iii. 5, 6.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.-ST. John xiv. 6.

Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee.-PSALM cxliii. 8, second and third clauses.

Show me Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths.-Psalm xxv. 4.

Lead me in Thy truth and teach me : for thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day.-PSALM XXV. 5.

Let my cry come before Thee, O Lord ; give me understanding according to Thy word.-PSALM cxix. 169.

Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee saying, This is the way; walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand and when ye turn to the left.-ISAIAH xxx. 21.

He led him about, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.— DEUT. xxxii. 10, second clause.

Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak : and He will show you things to come.ST. JOHN xvi. 13.

I will instruct thee, and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.-PSALM Xxxii. 8.

Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.-PSALM cxliii. 10.

That which I see not, teach Thou me; if I have done iniquity, I will do no more. -JOB Xxxiv. 32.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do nothing.

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.-ST. JOHN XV. 5. ISAIAH. xlii. 16.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.-ST. JAMES i. 5; iii. 17.
