O my God, my soul is cast down within me.-PSALM xlii. 6, first clause.

I said, I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord, in the land of the living.

I did mourn as a dove, mine eyes fail

In famine He shall redeem thee from death and in war from the power of the sword.

Lo this, we have searched it, so it is: hear it, and know thou it for thy good.— JOB V. 19, 20, 27.

I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever:

Even the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.-ST. JOHN xiv. 16-18.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again

with looking upward; O Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

HEARING PRAYER.

BUT as for me, my prayer is unto Thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Thy mercy hear me, in the truth of Thy salvation.-PSALM lxix. 13.

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer: and attend to the voice of my supplications.PSALM 1Xxxvi. 6.

O Lord God of Hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.-PSALM lxxxiv.
