I any: for fame time had it upon my mind to fend thee fome account of my late goings on, having for fame few weeks back been much ih dulged and helped by the Holy Spirit of promife, of whore influence, help, and energetic interceflion at the throne of grace, I have been very watchful and obfervant s and, on the other hand, could not but wonder at the backwardncls, deadnefs, dryncfé, and barrennefs, both in power and in expreflion, when his fenfible influence was withheld from me. His divine perfon, and his mail: benign influences and Operations, were for many days my meditation, b0th by night and by day; and, during this time, -thd'e things were the principal fubjeéhs of my mi nifiry; and, had I met: them then, I have no doubt.
