Ellos entonces pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Si dijeremos: Del cielo; nos dirá: ¿Por qué pues no le creisteis ? 26 Y si dijeremos: De los hombres; tememos al pueblo; porque todos tienen á Juan por profeta. 27 Y respondiendo á Jesus, dijeron: No sabemos. Y él tambien les dijo: Ni yo os diré con qué autoridad hago esto. 28 Mas, & qué os parece? Un hombre tenia dos hijos, y llegando al primero, le dijo: Hijo, vé hoy á trabajar en mi viña. S. & E. 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. 23 ¶ And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? 24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? 26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. 27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell you by what authority I do these things. 28 But what think ye? Y CAPITULO XXII. 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. CHAPTER XXII. les volvió á hablar en para: AND Jesus answered and bolas, diciendo: 2 El reino de los cielos es semejante á un hombre rey, que hizo bodas á su hijo. 3 Y envió sus siervos para que llamasen á los convidados á las bodas; mas no quisieron venir. 4 Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los convidados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado, mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está aparejado: venid á las bodas. 5 Mas ellos no hicieron caso, y se fueron, uno á su labranza, y otro á sus negocios; spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready : come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 Y otros, tomando sus siervos, afrentáronlos, y matáronlos. 7 Y el rey, oyendo esto, se enojó; y enviando sus ejércitos, destruyó á aquellos homicidas, y puso á fuego su ciudad. 8 Entonces dice á sus siervos: Las bodas á la verdad están aparejadas; mas los que eran llamados, no eran dignos. 9 Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis. 10 Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos; y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados. 11 Y entró el rey para ver los convidados, y vió allí un hombre no vestido de vestido de boda. 12 Y le díjo: Amigo, ¿cómo entraste acá no teniendo vestido de boda? Y á él se le cerró la boca. 13 Entonces el rey dijo á los que servian: Atado de piés y de manos, tomádle, y echádle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro, y el crujir de dientes. 14 Porque muchos son llamados; mas pocos escogidos. 15 Entonces idos los Fariseos, consultaron como le tomarian en alguna palabra. 16 Y envian á él sus discípulos, con los de Herodes, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios; y que no te cuidas de nadie; porque no tienes acepcion de persona de hombres: 17 Dínos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿Es lícito dar tributo a César, ó no? 18 Mas Jesus, entendida su malicia, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentais, hipócritas? 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment : 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. 15¶ Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. 17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cesar, or not? 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? |
