ADVERTISEMENT. 'HE following collection of Anthems, &c. THE from the works of the most esteemed Compofers, is as complete as the time for making the compilation would conveniently allow. The number might have been increased by defering the publication; but as an appendix may, if required, be added hereafter, the Editor thought proper, in compliance with the wifhes of the Congregation, to bring forward the work without delay. Several pieces fung at the Church it has not been thought neceffary to infert in this collection, as the Compofers had taken them without alteration or tranfpofition from the Scriptures or the Liturgy, and they may be readily found by turning to the bible or the prayer book.
