which specially belong to that season of the year. May we ask our readers to turn away for a short time from home pictures and in fancy take a glimpse at our` family in the Orphanage ? During the last year its walls have sheltered about forty children, and there are now several urgent cases waiting for admission-some of them almost babies, who will require the greatest care in rearing. We are anxious to have our coal cellars filled before Jack Frost comes to bite fingers and toes; and it would make a heavy burden lighter to know that the forty new pairs of blankets, Bolton sheetings, towelling, children's dresses, etc., were given. There are many who will remember His words: "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me." Our friends on the other side will be glad to hear that one of our workers has kindly promised to go over and fetch the Christmas presents this year, which will ensure their being in time for our Christmas treat.

The smallest contribution will be welcomed by Miss A. Y. Davidson, at 22a, Queen's Road, Bayswater, and acknowledged up to the first week in December,
