womb of the morning, thou hast the dew of thy youth.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.-Psalm cx. 1-4.

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord? saying,

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son ?

And no man was able to answer him a word; neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.-Matt. xxii. 41-46.

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an highpriest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee.

And he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec.-Heb. v. 5, 6.

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the

veil ;

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high-priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec.-Heb. vi. 19, 20.

CHRIST THE STONE REFUSED BY THE BUILDERS.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.-Psalm cxviii. 22,

23.

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Therefore I say unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.-Matt. xxi. 42-44.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone,

In whom all the building, fitly framed together, groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.-Eph. ii. 19–22.

CHRIST THE STAR OUT OF JACOB.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said;

He hath said, which heard the words of God and knew the knowledge of the Most High,

which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not nigh; there shall come a star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall raise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Seth.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city. Numb. xxiv. 15-19.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches, I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.-Rev. xxii. 16.

CHRIST THE PROPHET LIKE UNTO MOSES.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

According to all that thou desirest of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.-Deut. xviii. 15-18.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatsoever he shall say unto you.—Acts iii. 20-22.

THE COMING OF SHILOH OR CHRIST, AND THE

GATHERING OF THE PEOPLE TO HIM.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.-Gen. xlix. 10.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found favor with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the

:

Highest and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his Father David:

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom, there shall be no end,-Luke i. 30-33.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth will draw all men unto me.-John xii. 32.

CHRIST THE REDEEMER SHALL STAND, IN THE LATTER DAYS, UPON THE EARTH.

Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!

That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!

For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth

:

And though, after my skin, worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.-Job xix. 23-27.

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.—Phil. iii. 20, 21.
