MONDAY.-Deut. vii. 9.-Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. TUESDAY.-Prov. iii. 5.-Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. WEDNESDAY.-Prov. iii. 6.—In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. THURSDAY.-Matt. vi. 6.-But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. TUESDAY.-Isa. i. 4.-Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil doers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. WEDNESDAY.-Isa. lxv. 11.-But ye are they that forsake the Lord, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. TUESDAY.-Ex. xx. 5.-Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; WEDNESDAY.-Ex. xx. 6.—And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. WEDNESDAY.-Acts xv. 21.-For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
