LESSON XXIII.

MONDAY.-John xvii. 5.-And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

TUESDAY.-Phil. ii. 9.-Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.

WEDNESDAY.-1 Cor. ii. 8.-Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. THURSDAY.-James ii. 1.-My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. FRIDAY.-PS. xxiv. 7.-Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come

in.

SATURDAY.-Matt. xxiv. 30.—And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

SABBATH.-Matt. xvi. 27.-For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

LESSON XXIV.

MONDAY.-Isa. lix. 21.-As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever. TUESDAY.-Hag. ii. 5.-According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my Spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

WEDNESDAY.-Zech. iv. 6.-Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. THURSDAY.-Joel ii. 28.-And it shall come to pass afterwards, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

FRIDAY.-Luke xxiv. 49.-And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

SATURDAY.-Acts ii. 4.-And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. SABBATH.-Acts iv. 31.-And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

LESSON XXV.

MONDAY.-Num. xi. 29.—And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? Would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them! TUESDAY.-1 Chron. xii. 18.-Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers: for thy God helpeth thee.

WEDNESDAY.-John xvi. 13.-Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

THURSDAY.-Eph. iii. 5.—Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

FRIDAY.-Eph. i. 17.-That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

SATURDAY.-1 Cor. xii. 8.-For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

SABBATH.-1 Cor. ii. 13.-Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

LESSON XXVI.

MONDAY.-John xvi. 8.—And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: TUESDAY.-John xvi. 9.—Of sin, because they believe not on me; WEDNESDAY.-Ps. xlv. 5.—Thine arrows are sharp in the hearts of the King's enemies, whereby the people fall under thee.

THURSDAY.-Rom. vii. 10.-And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

FRIDAY.-Rom. vii. 11.-For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

SATURDAY.-Eph. ii. 1.-And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

SABBATH.-Neh. ix. 30.-Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy Spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

LESSON XXVII.

MONDAY.-Ez. xxxvi. 26.—A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

TUESDAY.-Eph. iv. 23.-And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

WEDNESDAY.-Eph. iv. 24.-And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

THURSDAY.-John vi. 63.-It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

FRIDAY.-John iii. 5.-Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God.

SATURDAY.-Titus iii. 5.-Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

SABBATH.-Gal. vi. 15.-For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
