128 Trusting in God. LESSON XXIV. MONDAY.-Ps. cxxv. 1.-They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. TUESDAY.—Ps. cxii. 7.—He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. WEDNESDAY.—Ps. lxxi. 5.—For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. THURSDAY.—PS. cxli. 8.—But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord in thee is my trust: leave not my soul destitute. WEDNESDAY.-1 Thess. iv. 1.-Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. THURSDAY.-1 John ii. 6.-He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. FRIDAY.-PS. cxxviii. 1.-Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord that walketh in his ways. SATURDAY.-Rom. vi. 4.-Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. TUESDAY.-Mark viii. 35.-For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. WEDNESDAY.-Rom. i. 15.-So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. THURSDAY.-Rom. i. 16.-For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
