114 Enjoying Peace. LESSON X. MONDAY.-Num. vi. 26.-The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. TUESDAY.-PS. Xxxvii. 11.—But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. WEDNESDAY.--Isa. xxxii. 17.—And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. WEDNESDAY.—Ps. xxxvii. 4.—Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. THURSDAY.—PS. xxxvii. 23.—The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighteth in his way. FRIDAY.-Ps. cxix. 47.—And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. TUESDAY.-1 John iii. 14.-We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. WEDNESDAY.-1 John iii. 16.-Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. THURSDAY.-Rom. xv. 26.-For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. FRIDAY.-Rom. xv. 27.-It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
