MONDAY. Deut. iv. 39.-Know therefore this day, and consider it in thy heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

TUESDAY.-Deut. xxxii. 29.-0 that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! WEDNESDAY.-Ps. 1. 22.-Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

THURSDAY.-Jer. xxiii. 20.-The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart; in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. FRIDAY.-PS. cxix. 59.-I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

SATURDAY-Luke xv. 17.-And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger.

SABBATH.-Jer. xxxi. 18.-I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the Lord my God.

LESSON II.

MONDAY.-Isa. lvii. 20.-But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

TUESDAY.-Luke iii. 10.-And the people asked him, saying, What Ishall we do then?

WEDNESDAY.-Acts ii. 37.-Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

THURSDAY.-Acts ix. 6.-And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

FRIDAY.-Acts xvi. 27.-And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

SATURDAY.-Acts xvi. 29.-Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, SABBATH.-Acts xvi. 30.-And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

MONDAY.-Deut. iv. 7.-For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

TUESDAY,-PS. cxlv. 18.-The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

WEDNESDAY.- -Isa. lv. 6.—Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: THURSDAY.-1 Chron. iv. 10.-And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me in deed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

FRIDAY.-Mark x. 47.—And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

SATURDAY.-Mark x. 48.-And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

SABBATH.-Mark x. 51.—And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

LESSON IV.

MONDAY.-Lam. v. 21.-Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

TUESDAY.—Jer. xxxi. 19.—Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

WEDNESDAY.-John i. 13.-Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

THURSDAY.-John iii. 6.—That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

FRIDAY.-2 Tim. i. 9.-Who hast saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own. purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

SATURDAY.-2 Cor. v. 17.-Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

SABBATH.-1 John iv. 7.-Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
