19 Ac efe yn eistedd ar yr orsedd-faingc, ei wraig a ddanfonodd atto, gan ddywedyd, Na fydded i ti a wnelych â'r cyfiawn hwnnw: canys goddefais lawer heddyw mewn breuddwyd o'i achos ef.

20 A'r arch-offeiriaid a'r henuriaid a berswadiasant y bobl, fel y gofynent Barabbas, ac y difethent yr lesu.

21 A'r rhaglaw a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pa un o'r ddau a fynnwch i mi ei ollwng yn rhydd i chwi? Hwythau a ddywedasant, Barabbas.

22 Pilat a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pa beth gan hynny a wnaf i'r Iesu, yr hwn a elwir Crist? Hwythau oll a ddywedasant wrtho, Croeshoelier ef.

23 A'r rhaglaw a ddywedodd, Ond pa ddrwg a wnaeth efe? Hwythau a lefasant yn fwy, gan ddywedyd, Croes-hoelier ef.

24 A Philat, pan welodd nad oedd dim yn tycio, ond yn hytrach bod cynnwrf, a gymmerth ddwfr, ac a olchodd ei ddwylaw ger bron y bobl, gan ddywedyd, Dieuog ydwyf fi oddi wrth waed y cyfiawn hwn: edrychwch chwi.

25 A'r holl bobl a attebodd ac a ddywedodd, Bydded ei waed ef arnom ni, ac ar ein plant.

26 Yna y gollyngodd efe Barabbas yn rhydd iddynt: ond yr Iesu a flangellodd efe, ac a'i rhoddes i'w groes-hoelio.

27 Yna milwyr y rhaglaw a gymmerasant yr Iesu i'r dadleudy, ac a gynnullasant atto yr holl fyddin.

28 A hwy a'i diosgasant ef, ac a roisant am dano fantell o ysgarlad. 29 A chwedi iddynt blethu coron o ddrain, hwy a'i gosodasant ar ei ben ef, a chorsen yn ei law ddehau; ac a blygasant eu gliniau ger ei fron ef, ac a'i gwatwarasant, gan ddywedyd, Henffych well, brenhin yr Iuddewon.

30 A hwy a boerasant arno, ac

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30 And they spit upon him, and

tarawsant ar ei ben.

31 Ac wedi iddynt ei watwar, hwy a'i diosgasant ef o'r fantell, ac a'i gwisgasant â'i ddillad ei hun, ac a'i dygasant ef ymaith i'w groes-hoelio.

32 Ac fel yr oeddynt yn myned allan, hwy a gawsant ddyn o Cyrene, a'i enw Simon; hwn a gymmellasant i ddwyn ei groes ef. 33 A phan ddaethant i le a elwid Golgotha, yr hwn a elwir, Lle y benglog,

34 Hwy a roisant iddo i'w yfed, finegr yn gymmysgedig â bustl: ac wedi iddo ei brofi, ni fynnodd efe yfed.

35 Ac wedi iddynt ei groes-hoelio ef, hwy a rannasant ei ddillad, gan fwrw coelbren: er cyflawni y peth a ddywedwyd trwy y prophwyd, Hwy a rannasant fy nillad yn eu plith, ac ar fy ngwisg y bwriasant goelbren.

36 A chan eistedd, hwy a'i gwyliasant ef yno:

37 A gosodasant hefyd uwch ei ben ef ei achos yn ysgrifenedig, HWN YW IESU BRENHIN YR IUDDEWON.

38 Yna y croes-hoeliwyd gyd âg ef ddau leidr; un ar y llaw ddehau, ac un ar yr aswy.

39 A'r rhai oedd yn myned heibio a'i cablasant ef, gan ysgwyd eu pennau,

40 A dywedyd, Ti yr hwn a ddinystri y deml, ac a'i hadeiledi mewn tridiau, gwared dy hun. Os ti yw Mab Duw, disgyn oddi ar y groes.

41 A'r un modd yr arch-offeiriaid hefyd, gan watwar, gyd â'r ysgrifenyddion a'r henuriaid, a ddywedasant,

42 Efe a waredodd eraill, ei hunan nis gall efe ei waredu. Os Brenhin Israel yw, disgyned yr awrhon oddi ar y groes, ac ni a gredwn iddo.

43 Ymddiriedodd yn Nuw; gwar

31 And after that they had m ed him, they took the robe off him, and put his own raimen him, and led him away to cru him.

32 And as they came out, found a man of Cyrene, Simon name: him they compelled to his cross.

33 And when they were c unto a place called Golgotha, is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave him vinegar to d mingled with gall: and wher had tasted thereof, he would drink.

35 And they crucified him, parted his garments, casting l that it might be fulfilled wh was spoken by the prophet, T parted my garments among th and upon my vesture did they lots.

36 And sitting down they wa ed him there;

37 And set up over his h his accusation written, THIS JESUS THE KING OF T JEWS.

41 Likewise also the chief prie mocking him, with the scribes a elders, said,

44 A'r un peth hefyd a edliwiodd y lladron iddo, y rhai a groeshoeliasid gyd âg ef.

45 Ac o'r chweched awr y bu tywyllwch ar yr holl ddaear hyd y nawfed awr.

46 Ac ynghylch y nawfed awr y llefodd yr Iesu â llef uchel, gan ddywedyd, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? hynny yw, Fy Nuw, fy Nuw, paham y'm gadewaist ? 47 A rhai o'r sawl oedd yn sefyll yno, pan glywsant, a ddywedasant, Y mae hwn yn galw am Elias. 48 Ac yn y fan un o honynt a redodd, ac a gymmerth yspwng, ac a'i llanwodd o finegr, ac a'i rhoddodd ar gorsen, ac a'i dïododd ef. 49 A'r lleill a ddywedasant, Paid, edrychwn a ddaw Elias i'w waredu ef.

50 TA'r Iesu, wedi llefain drachefn â llef uchel, a ymadawodd â'r yspryd.

51 Ac wele, llen y deml a rwygwyd yn ddau oddi fynu hyd i waered: a'r ddaear a grynodd, a'r meini a holltwyd:

52 A'r beddau a agorwyd; a llawer o gyrph y saint a hunasent a gyfodasant,

53 Ac a ddaethant allan o'r beddau ar ol ei gyfodiad ef, ac a aethant i mewn i'r ddinas sanctaidd, ac a ymddangosasant i lawer.

54 Ond y canwriad, a'r rhai oedd gyd âg ef yn gwylied yr Iesu, wedi gweled y ddaear-gryn, a'r pethau a wnaethid, a ofnasant yn fawr, gan ddywedyd, Yn wir Mab Duw ydoedd hwn.

55 Ac yr oedd yno lawer o wragedd yn edrych o hirbell, y rhai a ganlynasent yr Iesu o Galilea, gan weini iddo ef:

56 Ym mhlith y rhai yr oedd Mair Magdalen, a Mair mam Iago a Joses, a mam meibion Zebedeus.

44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold, the vail of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

59 And when Joseph had t the body, he wrapped it in a linen cloth,

60 And laid it in his own tomb, which he had hewn o the rock: and he rolled a stone to the door of the sepul and departed.

the chief priests and Phar came together unto Pilate,

63 Saying, Sir, we remember that deceiver said, while he yet alive, After three days I rise again.

64 Command therefore that sepulchre be made sure until third day, lest his disciples by night, and steal him away, say unto the people, He is from the dead: so the last e shall be worse than the first.

65 Pilate said unto them, Ye a watch: go your way, make sure as ye can.

66 So they went, and made sepulchre sure, sealing the st and setting a watch.

3 A'i wyneb-pryd oedd fel mellten, a'i wisg yn wèn fel eira.

4 A rhag ei ofn ef y crynodd y ceidwaid, ac a aethant megis yn feirw.

5 A'r angel a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrth y gwragedd, Nac ofnwch: canys mi a wn mai ceisio yr ydych yr Iesu, yr hwn a groeshoeli wyd.

6 Nid yw efe yma: canys cyfododd, megis y dywedodd. Deuwch, gwelwch y fan lle y gorweddodd yr Arglwydd.

7 Ac ewch ar ffrwst, a dywedwch i'w ddisgyblion, gyfodi o hono o feirw. Ac wele, y mae efe yn myned o'ch blaen chwi i Galilea: yno y gwelwch ef. Wele, dywedais i chwi.

8 Ac wedi eu myned ymaith ar frys oddi wrth y bedd, gyd âg ofn a llawenydd mawr, rhedasant i fynegi i'w ddisgyblion ef.

9 Ac fel yr oeddynt yn myned i fynegi i'w ddisgyblion ef, wele, yr lesu a gyfarfu a hwynt, gan ddywedyd, Henffych well. A hwy a ddaethant, ac a ymafaelasant yn ei draed ef, ac a'i haddolasant.

10 Yna y dywedodd yr Iesu wrthynt, Nac ofnwch: ewch, mynegwch i'm brodyr, fel yr elont i Galilea, ac yno y'm gwelant i. 11 Ac wedi eu myned hwy, wele, rhai o'r wyliadwriaeth a ddaethant i'r ddinas, ac a fynegasant i'r arch-offeiriaid yr hyn oll a wnaethid.

12 Ac wedi iddynt ymgasglu ynghyd gyd â'r henuriaid, a chydymgynghori, hwy a roisant arian lawer i'r milwyr,

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid go tell my brethren that they go into Galilée, and there shall they see me.

11 ¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that

were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
