42 Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, Oni ddarllenasoch chwi erioed yn yr ysgrythyrau, Y maen a wrthododd yr adeiladwyr, hwn a wnaethpwyd yn ben congl: gan yr Arglwydd y gwnaethpwyd hyn, a rhyfedd yw yn ein golwg ni? 43 Am hynny meddaf i chwi, y dygir teyrnas Dduw oddi arnoch chwi, ac a'i rhoddir i genedl a ddygo ei ffrwythau.

44 A phwy bynnag a syrthio ar y maen hwn, efe a ddryllir: ac ar bwy bynnag y syrthio, efe a'i mâl ef yn chwilfriw.

45 A phan glybu yr arch-offeiriaid a'r Phariseaid ei ddammegion ef, hwy a wybuant mai am danynt hwy y dywedai efe.

46 Ac a hwy yn ceisio ei ddala, hwy a ofnasant y torfeydd; am eŭ bod yn ei gymmeryd ef fel prophwyd.

2 Cyffelyb yw teyrnas nefoedd i ryw frenhin a wnaeth brïodas i'w fab,

3 Ac a ddanfonodd ei weision i alw y rhai a wahoddasid i'r briodas: ac ni fynnent hwy ddyfod.

4 Trachefn efe a anfonodd weision eraill, gan ddywedyd, Dywedwch wrth y rhai a wahoddwyd, Wele, parottöais fy nghiniaw: fy ychain a'm pasgedigion a laddwyd, a phob peth sydd barod: deuwch i'r briodas.

5 A hwy yn ddïystyr ganddynt, a aethant ymaith, un i'w faes, ac arall i'w fasnach:

a'u lladdasant.

42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes ?

43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

CHAPTER XXII.

ND Jesus answered and spake

And the a aquin by parables,

and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his serv

ants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth

oedd, ac a ddinystriodd y lleiddiaid hynny, ac a losgodd eu dinas hwynt.

8 Yna efe a ddywedodd wrth ei weision, Yn wir y briodas sydd barod, ond y rhai a wahoddasid nid oeddynt deilwng.

9 Ewch gan hynny i'r prif-ffyrdd, a chynnifer ag a gaffoch, gwahoddwch i'r briodas.

10 A'r gweision hynny a aethant allan i'r prif-ffyrdd, ac a gasglasant ynghyd gynnifer oll ag a gawsant, drwg a da: a llanwyd y brïodas o wahoddedigion.

11 A phan ddaeth y brenhin i mewn i weled y gwahoddedigion, efe a ganfu yno ddyn heb wisg priodas am dano:

12 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Y cyfaill, pa fodd y daethost i mewn yma, heb fod gennyt wisg priodas? Ac yntau a aeth yn fud.

13 Yna y dywedodd y brenhin wrth y gweinidogion, Rhwymwch ei draed a'i ddwylaw, a chymmerwch ef ymaith, a theflwch i'r tywyllwch eithaf yno y bydd wylofain a rhingcian dannedd.

14 Canys llawer sydd wedi eu galw, ac ychydig wedi eu dewis. 15 Yna yr aeth y Phariseaid, ac a gymmerasant gynghor pa fodd y rhwydent ef yn ei ymadrodd.

16 A hwy a ddanfonasant atto eu disgyblion ynghyd â'r Herodianiaid, gan ddywedyd, Athraw, ni a wyddom dy fod yn eirwir, ac yn dysgu ffordd Duw mewn gwirionedd, ac nad oes arnat ofal rhag neb: oblegid nid wyt ti yn edrych ar wyneb dynion.

17 Dywed i ni gan hynny, Beth yr wyt ti yn ei dybied? Ai cyfreithlawn rhoddi teyrnged i Cesar, ai nid yw?

18 ond yr Iesu a wybu eu drygioni hwy, ac a ddywedodd, Paham yr ydych yn fy nhemtio i, chwi ragrithwyr?

19 Dangoswch i mi arian y deyrn

his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cesar, or not?

18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

19 Shew me the tribute money.

ged. A hwy a ddygasant atto | And they brought unto him a geiniog :

20 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Eiddo pwy yw y ddelw hon a'r argraff?

21 Dywedasant wrtho, Eiddo Cesar. Yna y dywedodd wrthynt, Telwch chwithau yr eiddo Cesar i Cesar, a'r eiddo Duw i Dduw.

22 A phan glywsant hwy hyn, rhyfeddu a wnaethant, a'i adael ef, a myned ymaith.

23¶Y dydd hwnnw y daeth atto y Saduceaid, y rhai sydd yn dywedyd nad oes adgyfodiad, ac a ofynasant iddo,

24 Gan ddywedyd, Athraw, dywedodd Moses, Os bydd marw neb heb iddo blant, prïoded ei frawd ei wraig ef, a chyfoded had i'w frawd.

25 Ac yr oedd gyd â ni saith o frodyr a'r cyntaf a brïododd wraig, ac a fu farw; ac efe heb hiliogaeth iddo, a adawodd ei wraig i'w frawd.

26 Felly hefyd yr ail, a'r trydydd, hyd y seithfed.

27 Ac yn ddiweddaf oll bu farw y wraig hefyd.

28 Yn yr adgyfodiad, gan hynny, gwraig i bwy o'r saith fydd hi? canys hwynt-hwy oll a'i cawsant

hi.

29 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Yr ydych yn cyfeiliorni, gan na wyddoch yr ysgrythyrau, na gallu Duw.

30 Oblegid yn yr adgyfodiad nid ydynt nac yn gwreicca, nac yn gwra; eithr y maent fel angelion Duw yn y nef.

31 Ac am adgyfodiad y meirw, oni ddarllenasoch yr hyn a ddywedwyd wrthych gan Dduw, gan ddywedyd,

32 Myfi yw Duw Abraham, a Duw Isaac, a Duw Jacob? Nid yw Duw Dduw y rhai meirw, ond y rhai byw.

33 A phan glybu y torfeydd hyn

penny.

20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

21 They say unto him, Cesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cesar the things which are Cesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

23 ¶ The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

27 And last of all the woman died also.

28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

33 And when the multitude heard

34 Ac wedi clywed o'r Phariseaid ddarfod i'r Iesu ostegu y Saduceaid, hwy a ymgynnullasant ynghyd i'r un lle.

35 Ac un o honynt, yr hwn oedd gyfreithiwr, a ofynodd iddo, gan ei demtio, a dywedyd,

36 Athraw, pa un yw y gorchymyn mawr yn y gyfraith?

37 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Ceri yr Arglwydd dy Dduw â'th holl galon, ac â'th holl enaid, ac â'th holl feddwl.

38 Hwn yw y cyntaf, a'r gorchymyn mawr.

39 A'r ail sydd gyffelyb iddo; Câr dy gymmydog fel ti dy hun.

40 Ar y ddau orchymyn hyn y mae yr holl gyfraith a'r prophwydi | yn sefyll.

41 Ac wedi ymgasglu o'r Phariseaid ynghyd, yr Iesu a ofynodd iddynt,

42 Gan ddywedyd, Beth a dybygwch chwi am Grist? mab i bwy ydyw? Dywedent wrtho, Mab Dafydd.

43 Dywedai yntau wrthynt, Pa fodd gan hynny y mae Dafydd yn yr yspryd yn ei alw ef yn Arglwydd, gan ddywedyd,

44 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth fy Arglwydd, Eistedd ar fy neheulaw, hyd oni osodwyf dy elynion yn droed-faingc i'th draed di?

45 Os yw Dafydd gan hynny yn ei alw ef yn Arglwydd, pa fodd y mae efe yn fab iddo?

46 Ac nid allodd neb atteb gair iddo, ac ni feiddiodd neb o'r dydd hwnnw allan ymofyn âg ef mwyach.

PENNOD XXIII.

34 ¶ But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
