hyn ddyfod, edrychwch i fynu, a chodwch eich pennau: canys y mae eich ymwared yn nesâu.

29 Ac efe a ddywedodd ddammeg iddynt ; Edrychwch ar y ffigysbren, a'r holl brennau;

30 Pan ddeiliant hwy weithian, chwi a welwch ac a wyddoch o honoch eich hun, fod yr haf yn

agos.

31 Felly chwithau, pan weloch y pethau hyn yn digwydd, gwybyddwch fod teyrnas Dduw yn agos.

32 Yn wir meddaf i chwi, Nid â yr oes hon heibio, hyd oni ddêl y ewbl i ben.

33 Y nef a'r ddaear a ânt heibio ; ond fy ngeiriau i nid ânt heibio ddim.

34 Ac edrychwch arnoch eich hunain, rhag i'ch calonnau un amser drymhâu trwy lythineb a meddwdod, a gofalon y bywyd hwn, a dyfod y dydd hwnnw arnoch yn ddisymmwth.

35 Canys efe a ddaw fel magl, ar warthaf pawb oll a'r sydd yn trigo ar wyneb yr holl ddaear.

36 Gwyliwch gan hynny a gweddïwch bob amser, ar gael eich cyfrif yn deilwng i ddiangc rhag y pethau hyn oll sydd ar ddyfod, ac i sefyll ger bron Mab y dyn.

37 A'r dydd yr ydoedd efe yn athrawiaethu yn y deml; a'r nos yr oedd efe yn myned ac yn aros yn y mynydd a elwid yr Olewwydd.

38 A'r holl bobl a fore-gyrchent atto ef yn y deml, i'w glywed ef.

to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass

away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you

unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

37 And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

CHAPTER XXII.

Wead drew nigh, which is

OW the feast of unleavened

called the passover.

2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

3 A Satan a aeth i mewn i Judas, yr hwn a gyfenwid Iscariot, yr hwn oedd o rifedi y deuddeg.

4 Ac efe a aeth ymaith, ac a ymddiddanodd â'r arch-offeiriaid a'r blaenoriaid, pa fodd y bradychai efe ef iddynt.

5 Ac yr oedd yn llawen ganddynt a hwy a gyttunasant ar roddi arian iddo.

6 Ac efe a addawodd, ac a geisiodd amser cyfaddas i'w fradychu ef iddynt yn absen y bobl.

7 A daeth dydd y bara croyw, ar yr hwn yr oedd rhaid lladd y pasc.

8 Ac efe a anfonodd Petr ac Ioan, gan ddywedyd, Ewch, parottôwch i ni y pase, fel y bwyttâom.

9 A hwy a ddywedasant wrtho, Pa le y mynni barottôi o honom?

10 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Wele, pan ddeloch i mewn i'r ddinas, cyferfydd â chwi ddyn yn dwyn ystenaid o ddwfr: canlynwch ef i'r tŷ lle yr êl efe i mewn. 11 A dywedwch wrth wr y tŷ, Y mae yr Athraw yn dywedyd wrthyt, Pa le y mae y lletty, lle y gallwyf fwytta y pasc gyd â'm disgyblion ?

12 Ac efe a ddengys i chwi oruwchystafell fawr, wedi ei thaenu: yno parottôwch.

13 A hwy a aethant, ac a gawsant fel y dywedasai efe wrthynt; ac a barottoisant y pasc.

14 A phan ddaeth yr awr, efe a eisteddodd i lawr, a'r deuddeg apostol gyd âg ef.

15 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Mi a chwennychais yn fawr fwytta y pasc hwn gyd â chwi cyn dïoddef o honof.

16 Canys yr ydwyf yn dywedyd i chwi, Ni fwyttâf fi mwyach o hono, hyd oni chyflawner yn nheyrnas Dduw.

17 Ac wedi iddo gymmeryd y cwppan, a rhoddi diolch, efe a ddywedodd, Cymmerwch hwn, a rhennwch yn eich plith:

3 Then entered Satan into Ju das surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

18 Canys yr ydwyf yn dywedyd i chwi, nad yfaf o ffrwyth y winwydden, hyd oni ddêl teyrnas Dduw.

19 Ac wedi iddo gymmeryd bara, a rhoi dïolch, efe a'i torrodd, ac a'i rhoddes iddynt, gan ddywedyd, Hwn yw fy nghorph yr hwn yr ydys yn ei roddi drosoch: gwnewch hyn er coffa am danaf.

18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

20 Yr un modd y cwppan hefyd 20 Likewise also the cup after wedi swpperu, gan ddywedyd, Y supper, saying, This cup is the new cwppan hwn yw y testament new-testament in my blood, which is ydd yn fy ngwaed i, yr hwn yr shed for you. ydys yn ei dywallt drosoch.

21 Eithr wele law yr hwn sydd yn fy mradychu gyd â mi ar y bwrdd.

22 Ac yn wir y mae Mab y dyn yn myned, megis y mae wedi ei luniaethu eithr gwae y dyn hwnnw trwy yr hwn y bradychir ef.

23 Hwythau a ddechreuasant ymofyn yn eu plith eu hunain, pwy o honynt oedd yr hwn a wnai hynny.

24 A bu ymryson yn eu plith, pwy o honynt a dybygid ei fod yn fwyaf.

25 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Y mae brenhinoedd y Cenhedloedd ya arglwyddiaethu arnynt; a'r rhai sydd mewn awdurdod arnynt, a elwir yn bendefigion.

26 Ond na fyddwch chwi felly: eithr y mwyaf yn eich plith chwi, bydded megis yr ieuangaf; a'r pennaf, megis yr hwn sydd yn gweini.

27 Canys pa un fwyaf, ai yr hwn sydd yn eistedd ar y bwrdd, ai yr hwn sydd yn gwasanaethu? onid yr hwn sydd yn eistedd ar y bwrdd? eithr yr ydwyf fi yn eich mysg fel un yn gwasanaethu.

28 A chwychwi yw y rhai a arhosasoch gyd â mi yn fy mhrofedigaethau.

29 Ac yr wyf fi yn ordeinio i chwi deyrnas, megis yr ordeiniodd fy. Nhad i minnau ;

21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth

serve.

27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

30 Fel y bwyttâoch ac yr yfoch ar fy mwrdd i yn fy nheyrnas, ac yr eisteddoch ar orseddfeydd, yn barnu deuddeg llwyth Israel. 31 A'r Arglwydd a ddywedodd, Simon, Simon, wele, Satan a'ch ceisiodd chwi, i'ch nithio fel gwenith:

32 Eithr mi a weddïais drosot, na ddiffygiai dy ffydd di: tithau pan y'th dröer, cadarnhâ dy frodyr.

33 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Arglwydd, yr ydwyf fi yn barod i fyned gyd â thi i garchar, ac i angau.

34 Yntau a ddywedodd, Yr wyf yn dywedyd i ti, Petr, Na chân y ceiliog heddyw, nes i ti wadu dair gwaith yr adweini fi.

35 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pan y'ch anfonais heb na phwrs, na chôd, nac esgidiau, a fu arnoch eisieu dim? A hwy a ddywedasant, Na ddo ddim.

36 Yna y dywedodd wrthynt, Ond yn awr y neb sydd ganddo bwrs, cymmered; a'r un modd gôd: a'r neb nid oes ganddo, gwerthed ei bais, a phryned gleddyf.

37 Canys yr wyf yn dywedyd i chwi, Fod yn rhaid etto gyflawni ynof fi y peth hwn a ysgrifenwyd; sef, A chyd â'r anwir y cyfrifwyd ef. Canys y mae diben i'r pethau am danaf fi.

38 A hwy a ddywedasant, Arglwydd, wele ddau gleddyf yma. Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Digon yw.

39 Ac wedi iddo fyned allan, efe a aeth, yn ol ei arfer, i fynydd yr Olew-wydd; a'i ddisgyblion hefyd a'i canlynasant ef.

40 A phan ddaeth efe i'r man, efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Gweddiwch nad eloch mewn profedigaeth.

41 Ac efe a dynnodd oddi wrthynt tu ag ergyd carreg; ac wedi iddo fyned ar ei liniau, efe a weddiodd, 42 Gan ddywedyd, O Dad, os

30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be will

ewyllysi droi heibio y cwppan | ing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.

hwn oddi wrthyf: er hynny nid fy ewyllys i, ond yr eiddot ti a wneler. 43 Ac angel o'r nef a ymddangosodd iddo, yn ei nerthu ef.

44 Ac efe mewn ymdrech meddwl, a weddïodd yn ddyfalach: a'i chwŷs ef oedd fel defnynau gwaed yn disgyn ar y ddaear.

45 A phan gododd efe o'i weddi, a dyfod at ei ddisgyblion, efe a'u cafodd hwynt yn cysgu gan dristweh;

46 Ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Paham yr ydych yn cysgu ? codwch, a gweddiwch nad eloch mewn profedigaeth.

47 Ac efe etto yn llefaru, wele dyrfa; a'r hwn a elwir Judas, un o'r deuddeg, oedd yn myned o'u blaen hwynt, ac a nesâodd at yr Hesu, i'w gusanu ef.

48 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Judas, ai â chusan yr wyt ti yn bradychu Mab y dyn ?

49 A phan welodd y rhai oedd yn ei gylch ef y peth oedd ar ddyfod, hwy a ddywedasant wrtho, Arglwydd, a darâwn ni â chleddyf? 50 A rhyw un o honynt a darawodd was yr arch-offeiriad, ac a dorrodd ymaith ei glust ddehau ef. 51 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a ddywedodd, Goddefwch hyd yn hyn. Ac efe a gyffyrddodd â'i glust, ac a'i hiachâodd ef.

52 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrth yr arch-offeiriaid, a blaenoriaid y deml, a'r henuriaid, y rhai a ddaethent atto, Ai fel at leidr y daethoch chwi allan, â chleddyfau ac â ffyn?

53 Pan oeddwn beunydd gyd â chwi yn y deml, nid estynasoch ddwylaw i'm herbyn: eithr hon yw eich awr chwi, a gallu y tywyllwch.

54 A hwy a'i daliasant ef, ac a'i harweiniasant, ac a'i dygasant i mewn i dŷ yr arch-offeiriad. A Phetr a ganlynodd o hirbell.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest yo enter into temptation.

47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of dark

ness.

54 ¶ Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
