eira; y fath ni fedr un pannwr ar y ddaear eu cannu.

4 Ac ymddangosodd iddynt Elïas, gyd â Moses: ac yr oeddynt yn ymddiddan â'r Iesu.

5 A Phetr a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrth yr Iesu, Rabbi, da yw i ni fod yma: a gwnawn dair pabell; i ti un, ac i Moses un, ac i Elias un.

6 Canys nis gwyddai beth yr oedd yn ei ddywedyd: canys yr oeddynt wedi dychrynu.

7 A daeth cwmmwl yn cysgodi drostynt hwy: a llef a ddaeth allan o'r cwmmwl, gan ddywedyd, Hwn yw fy anwyl Fab; gwrandewch ef.

8 Ac yn ddisymmwth, pan edrychasant o amgylch, ni welsant neb mwy, ond yr Iesu yn unig gyd â hwynt.

9 A phan oeddynt yn dyfod i waered o'r mynydd, efe a orchymynodd iddynt na ddangosent i neb y pethau a welsent, hyd pan adgyfodai Mab y dyn o feirw.

10 A hwy a gadwasant y gair gyd â hwynt eu hunain, gan gydymholi beth yw yr adgyfodi o feirw.

11 A hwy a ofynasant iddo, gan ddywedyd, Paham y dywed yr ysgrifenyddion, fod yn rhaid i Elias ddyfod yn gyntaf?

12 Ac efe a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Elïas yn ddïau gan ddyfod yn gyntaf a edfryd bob peth; a'r modd yr ysgrifenwyd am Fab y dyn, y dioddefai lawer o bethau, ac y dirmygid ef.

13 Eithr yr wyf yn dywedyd i chwi, ddyfod Elias yn ddïau, a gwneuthur o honynt iddo yr hyn a fynnasant, fel yr ysgrifenwyd am dano.

14 ¶ A phan ddaeth efe at ei ddisgyblion, efe a welodd dyrfa fawr yn eu cylch hwynt, a'r ysgrifenyddion yn cyd-ymholi â hwynt.

15 Ac yn ebrwydd yr holl dyrfa, man ganfuant ef, a ddychrynasant,

as no fuller on earth can white them.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were

16 Ac efe a ofynodd i'r ysgrifenyddion, Pa gyd-ymholi yr ydych yn eich plith?

17 Ac un o'r dyrfa a attebodd ac a ddywedodd, Athraw, mi a ddygais fy mab attat, âg yspryd mud ynddo:

18 A pha le bynnag y cymmero ef, efe a'i rhwyga; ac yntau a fwrw ewŷn, ac a ysgyrnyga ddannedd, ac y mae yn dihoeni: ac mi a ddywedais wrth dy ddisgyblion ar iddynt ei fwrw ef allan; ac nis gallasant.

19 Ac efe a attebodd iddynt, ac a ddywedodd, O genhedlaeth anffyddlawn, pa hyd y byddaf gyd â chwi? pa hyd y goddefaf chwi ? dygwch ef attaf fi.

20 A hwy a'i dygasant ef atto. A phan welodd ef, yn y man yr yspryd a'i drylliodd ef; a chan syrthio ar y ddaear, efe a ymdreiglodd, dan falu ewŷn.

21 A gofynodd yr Iesu i'w dad ef, Beth sydd o amser er pan ddarfu fel hyn iddo? Yntau a ddywedodd, Er yn fachgen.

22 A mynych y taflodd efe ef yn tân, ac i'r dyfroedd, fel y difethai efe ef: ond os gelli di ddim, cymhorth ni, gan dosturio wrthym.

23 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Os gelli di gredu, pob peth a all fod i'r neb a gredo.

24 Ac yn y fan tad y bachgen, dan lefain ac wylofain, a ddywedodd, Yr wyf fi yn credu, O Arglwydd; cymhorth fy anghrediniaeth i.

16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18 And wheresoever he taketh

him, he teareth him; and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto

me.

20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 When Jesus saw that the peo

25 A phan welodd yr Iesu fod y dyrfa yn cyd-redeg atto, efe a ger-ple came running together, he reyddodd yr yspryd aflan, gan ddy- buked the foul spirit, saying unto wedyd wrtho, Tydi yspryd mud him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I a byddar, yr wyf fi yn gorchymyn i charge thee, come out of him, and ti, Tyred allan o hono, ac na ddos enter no more into him. mwy iddo ef.

26 Ac wedi i'r yspryd lefain, a dryllio llawer arno ef, efe a aeth

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him:

allan ac yr oedd efe fel un marw, fel y dywedodd llawer ei farw ef. 27 A'r Iesu a'i cymmerodd ef erbyn ei law, ac a'i cyfododd; ac efe a safodd i fynu.

28 Ac wedi iddo fyned i mewn i'r tŷ, ei ddisgyblion a ofynasant iddo o'r neilldu, Paham na allem ni ei fwrw ef allan?

29 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Y rhyw hwn ni all er dim ddyfod allan, ond trwy weddi ac ympryd. 30 Ac wedi ymadael oddi yno, hwy a ymdeithiasant trwy Galilea ac ni fynnai efe wybod o neb.

31 Canys yr oedd efe yn dysgu ei ddisgyblion, ac yn dywedyd wrthynt, Y traddodid Mab y dyn i ddwylaw dynion, ac y lladdent ef; ac wedi ei ladd, yr adgyfodai y trydydd dydd.

32 Ond nid oeddynt hwy yn deall yr ymadrodd, ac ofni yr oeddynt ofyn iddo.

33 Ac efe a ddaeth i Capernaum: a phan oedd efe yn y tŷ, efe a ofynodd iddynt, Beth yr oeddych yn ymddadleu yn eich plith eich hunain ar y ffordd?

34 Ond hwy a dawsant â sôn: canys ymddadleuasent â'u gilydd ar y ffordd, pwy a fyddai fwyaf.

35 Ac efe a eisteddodd, ac a alwodd y deuddeg, ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Os myn neb fod yn gyntaf, efe a fydd olaf o'r cwbl, a gweinidog i bawb.

36 Ac efe a gymmerth fachgennyn, ac a'i gosododd ef yn eu canol hwynt: ac wedi iddo ei gymmeryd ef yn ei freichiau, efe a ddywedodd wrthynt,

37 Pwy bynnag a dderbynio un o'r cyfryw fechgyn yn fy enw i, sydd yn fy nerbyn i: a phwy bynnag a'm derbyn i, nid myfi y mae yn ei dderbyn, ond yr hwn a'm danfonodd i.

and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he

arose.

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day..

32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask

him.

33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me; and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

38 Ac Ioan a'i hattebodd ef, gan 38 And John answered him, sayddywedyd, Athraw, ni a welsoming, Master, we saw one casting

un yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid yn | out devils in thy name, and he dy enw di, yr hwn nid yw yn ein followeth not us; and we fordilyn ni; ac ni a waharddasom bade him, because he followeth iddo, am nad yw yn ein dilyn ni. not us. 39 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd, Na waherddwch iddo; canys nid oes neb a wna wyrthiau yn fy enw i, ac a all yn y fan roi drygair i mi. 40 Canys y neb nid yw i'n herbyn, o'n tu ni y mae.

41 Canys pwy bynnag a roddo i chwi i'w yfed gwppanaid o ddwfr yn fy enw i, am eich bod yn perthyn i Grist, yn wir meddaf i chwi, Ni chyll efe ei obrwy.

42 A phwy bynnag a rwystro un o'r rhai bychain hyn sydd yn credu ynof fi, gwell oedd iddo osod maen melin o amgylch ei wddf, a'i daflu i'r môr.

43 Ac os dy law a'th rwystra, tòr hi ymaith: gwell yw i ti fyned i mewn i'r bywyd yn anafus, nag â dwy law gennyt fyned i uffern, i'r tân anniffoddadwy:

marw,

44 Lle nid yw eu pryf hwynt yn na'r tân yn diffodd. 45 Ac os dy droed a'th rwystra, tor ef ymaith gwell yw i ti fyned i mewn i'r bywyd yn gloff, nag â dau droed gennyt dy daflu i uffern, i'r tân anniffoddadwy:

46 Lle nid yw eu pryf hwynt yn marw, na'r tân yn diffodd.

47 Ac os dy lygad a'th rwystra, bwrw ef ymaith gwell yw i ti fyned i mewn i deyrnas Dduw yn un-llygeidiog, nag â dau lygad gennyt dy daflu i dân uffern: 48 Lle nid yw eu pryf hwynt yn marw, na'r tân yn diffodd. 49 Canys pob un a helltir â thân, a phob aberth a helltir â halen.

[blocks in formation]

39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part.

41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward..

42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the

sea.

43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell,

into the fire that never shall be quenched:

44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell,

into the fire that never shall be quenched :

46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

3 And he answered and said unto wedodd wrthynt, Beth a orchy-them, What did Moses command mynodd Moses i chwi ?

4 A hwy a ddywedasant, Moses a ganiattâodd ysgrifenu llythyr ysgar, a'i gollwng hi ymaith.

5 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, O achos eich calon-galedwch chwi yr ysgrifenodd efe i chwi y gorchymyn hwnnw: 6 Ond o ddechreuad y creadigaeth, yn wrryw a banyw y gwnaeth Duw hwynt.

4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little chil
